  • Stand Mixer
  • Baking Stone or Steel
  • Baking Screen
  • 1 Container Doughfella NYC Pizza Dough Mix
  • 1 300ml Warm Water
  • 2 TB Olive Oil

Mixing By Hand

  1. Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the Neapolitan Pizza Mix, yeast, and warm water. Stir until a dough forms.

  2. Knead the Dough: Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  3. First Rise: Lightly grease a bowl with olive oil. Place the dough in the bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.

  4. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone or steel, place it in the oven to heat.

  5. Shape the Dough: Punch down the dough and turn it onto a floured surface. Divide it into two equal portions. Roll out each portion into a circle or rectangle, about 10-12 inches in diameter and 1/4 inch thickness.

  6. Prepare the Pizza: Transfer the dough to a lightly floured pizza peel or baking sheet. If using a pizza stone, transfer the dough directly onto the hot stone. Add your desired toppings.

  7. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and melted.

  8. Cool: Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Stand-Up Mixer Instructions:

  1. Mix Ingredients: In the bowl of a stand-up mixer, combine the Pizza Mix, yeast, and warm water.

  2. Knead the Dough: Attach the dough hook to the stand-up mixer. Knead on medium speed for about 5-7 minutes, or until the dough is smooth and elastic.

  3. First Rise: Lightly grease a bowl with olive oil. Place the dough in the bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.

  4. Continue from Preheat the oven in previous section: Follow the instructions from By Hand section for shaping, preparing, baking, and cooling the pizza.

Pizza Oven Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Dough: Follow the instructions from either the By Hand or Stand-Up Mixer sections for mixing, kneading, and the first rise.

  2. Preheat Pizza Oven: Preheat your pizza oven to 800°F (425°C) or according to the manufacturer's instructions.

  3. Shape the Dough: Punch down the dough and turn it onto a floured surface. Divide it into two equal portions. Roll out each portion into a circle or rectangle, about 12-14 inches in diameter and 1/4 inch thickness.

  4. Prepare the Pizza: Transfer the dough to a lightly floured pizza peel. Add your desired toppings.

  5. Bake: Slide the pizza onto the hot pizza stone or surface of the pizza oven. Bake for 2-4 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and melted. The exact time will depend on your oven's temperature and design.

  6. Cool: Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

TIPS & TRICKS:

Rest the Dough: Before shaping the dough into its final pizza shape, let it rest for about 10-15 minutes. This will make it easier to stretch into a circle.

Use Warm Water: Ensure the water is warm (about 110°F) to activate the yeast properly.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven or pizza stone to the desired temperature to ensure a crispy crust.

Flour Your Surface: Lightly flour your work surface to prevent the dough from sticking while kneading and shaping.

Don’t Overload Toppings: Avoid overloading your pizza with toppings to ensure it cooks evenly and the crust remains crispy.

Cool Before Slicing: Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing to allow the cheese to set slightly.
